Comments on the proposal for a regulation on European Production and Preservation Orders for electronic evidence in criminal matters

The Meijers Committee wishes to respond herein to the legislative proposals made by the European Commission on cross-border access to electronic evidence (COM (2018) 225 final). This note aims to raise a number of questions and concerns that follow from the proposals, and provides several recommendations on how to improve them.
