2025 was a highly active year for the Meijers Committee. From producing over 20 comments, to rolling out our Young Meijers Committee program, 2025 saw the Meijers Committee defend the rule of law in a multitude of ways. Through our interventions, the Meijers Committee has influenced political debates, highlighted problematic aspects of legislative proposals and suggested a wide range of amendments, creating impact at national and EU level.
This annual report details our impact, mission and organisation structure, explains our letters and comments and details the trajectory of the Rule of Law project in 2025. Further, it features interviews with our 7 new members and our Young Meijers Committee cohort.
