Note on the interparliamentary scrutiny of Europol

The implementation of Article 51 of the Europol Regulation is currently debated, amongst others in the interparliamentary committee of the European Parliament and national parliaments. Article 51 provides for scrutiny on the functioning of Europol by the European Parliament, together with national Parliaments. A “specialised Joint
